NicheIn a May 2013 survey by the Society for Human Resource Management, 98% of HR professionals said “a shortage of skilled workers” will affect the workforce during the next five years.

Trends have shown world over that HR executives that are most highly paid are those who focus on headhunting for talent and have known employee retention skills.

While most organisations continue to use third party headhunters, they are rethinking that strategy and opting to build in-house capacity that will focus on sourcing, onboarding, engaging and retaining talent.

There we go – the talent management function is the HR Executive’s niche.

Use of talent technology, social media, video interviewing, gamification are among the upcoming unique tools that will allow effective connection, evaluation and analysis of talent.
