Balanced Scorecard

The Balanced scorecard is a performance management tool that was originated by Drs. Robert Kaplan (Harvard Business School) and David Norton. The tool adds strategic non-financial performance measures to traditional financial metrics to give managers and executives a more ‘balanced’ view of organizational performance.

I always get colleagues in the profession ask me to explain how it works. While there is a lot of literature out there, below is a link to a summary presentation outlining my understanding of the Balanced Scorecard.
